    "National averages, and a national average is not a quote. Every row is what some population of lenders or banks reported; none of them is the rate you will be offered, which depends on your credit, your loan and who you ask.",
    "Each row has its own reading date and they are months apart. The mortgage averages print weekly and the Fed funds target and the Treasury yield daily, but the three Federal Reserve G.19 consumer-credit averages — credit card, new car, personal loan — publish only in February, May, August and November, so theirs can be a quarter old. Read each row's asOf; there is no single date for this table.",
    "The savings and 12-month CD averages are the FDIC's deposit-weighted national rates, which the largest banks' near-zero offers pull far below what a saver shopping around is paid. Quote them as the average, never as what is available.",
